There are photos of headstones from Ogdensburg's St. Mary's on line. You will find quite a few "Burns" there. Just google Anne Cady and you will find her wonderful site.
Good luck

I am searching for information on the families of Edward, George and Arthur Byrne (also known as Byrn, Burns or Byrns). The Byrne/Burns family arrived in Ontario from Co Wicklow, Ireland in 1847. Edward moved to Morristown in the 1850s, George and Arthur moved to Ogdensburg later. I believe they worked on ships on the Great Lakes. I have some information on all of them, especially Edward my gg Grandfather, but there are great gaps and I have been unable to complete those branches of my family tree.
They were Roman Catholic and attended St. Mary's Cathedral. I am ordering the microfilm at the LDS Family History Centre but would appreciate any other information.
