In my research on the above families, it has been noted several times that the JOSEPH VALIER and the PETER VALIER families lived in Ogdensburg sometime during the early to mid 1800's. They also lived in Forest Mills, Ontario and were lumbermen and shipbuilders. Does anyone know where I might locate the information about the shipbuilding occupation and it's history in Ogdensburg and Ontario? Peter was my GGGrandfather and I have been trying to prove that he is also the son of Joseph VALIER. I would appreciate any information via email. Thank you! Nan Clark |
