I'm looking for information on Joel Atwood, who lived in Gouverneur from about 1820 to 1846. I believe him to be the son of Timothy and Sarah (Converse) Atwood of Hartford, CT. His brother Aaron Atwood is found in Gouverneur also, in the 1820 Census. I have a hunch his wife was a Mary Carrol of Boston, MA. I would like to know who his children were, and where they went.
