I am seeking any information on ancestors of Frederick J. Elie who was born in New York State on August 16, 1889 of parents who were both born in Canada and french speaking. He was mayor of Ogdensburg in 1937. He married Edith Johanna (Joey) McGarrell who was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on Feb. 19, 1891. She probably also died in Ogdensburg. She lived in Cardinal, Ontario prior to her marriage.
They had two children, Edmond J. and Mary Catherine.
