Hello! I am seeking information on Asaph Walling, born in saint lawrence cty in 1816. He married Betsey Emerson of Chautauqua in 1836 and produced three children, one of whom is my great grandfather, Wilder Emerson Walling. I believe Asaph's grandfather was Archellaus Walling of Hartford, NY. Several of Archellaus' sons settled in the Saint Lawrence area--Almon Walling & Joshua Walling are included in the 1830 and 1840 federal census as living there. Of course, the census info of that time only indicates sex and age of offspring, so I am looking for more details--especially names. I suspect that Almon is Asaph's father. Anybody have a clue?
