I hope that someone knows something about the Carr family. I have found very little. The best info I have is this except from The History of Montana, "....General Carr, famous as a Revolutionary hero, is a direct ancestor of Edward H. Carr. The paternal grandfather was born in New York State, and died at Ogdensburg, New York...George Carr was born at Ogdensburg, New York, and died in Collins, Illinois, in March, 1860. He was reared and received an education of the higher grade. By occupation a wagonmaker, he conducted a business for making wagons and carriages at Ogdensburg for four years, and then sold it and went into railroad consruction contracting. He married Harriet Blackman...." Any help would be greatly appreicated.

The posting on 10/22/04 by Matt Fredrickson is interesting. I have a George Carr born in Ogdensburg, the son of James Hadsell Carr. I don't have any details on George. James Hadsell Carr was born about 1790. His father was Daniel Carr who escaped death in the Wyoming Valley Massacre in the Rev. War. Daniel's father-in- law was James Hadsell who died in that massacre
If this rings any bells, please let me know at Leslievaughn@cfl.rr.com.

Thanks. Leslie
