Hi, I am tracing my family from Ogdensburg to Quebec, Montreal. Julius and Anna Bougie (Beaugie)Benoit Ward were married in the mid 1850's. In 1866 they moved to Ogdensburg. In 1888,they had 12 children seated with them in a picture with these notes on the side. Mary married Louis LaVenture, George married Elizabeth Sloan, Elizabeth married Charles Benson,Theodore married Ellen Laughren, Leah (Lucy)married Frank Ferguson, Joseph never married, Jane (Gina) married Frank Larock, Frank married Elizabeth Laughren (half sister to Ellen Laughren),Leo married Belle Hunter, Annie married Frank Lesperance, John (Jack) married Margueritte Lowles, and Abraham married Deliah Dubrule. I would like to learn more about them and I have pictures and information to share. Thank you | ||

Julius Benoit Ward parents are listed as Pierre Benoit and Catherine Sauve. Julius was born in 1834. I am looking for his brothers and sisters names. His orbit simply states that they remained in Canada. He died in 1911, Ogdensburg,NY. I have pictures and information to share. Thank you | ||

Louis and Mary LaVenture were my Grandparents. My fathers name was Allen Louis My Fathers siblings were: David B. Born 18 Dec 1889, Theodore N. born, 7 Nov 1891, Eva born 4 Feb 1894, Josephine born 4 July 1896, Joseph born 8 March 1899 Mary A born 17 Aug 1907 Marie M born 21 Oct 1907 my father was born 15 Oct. 1911 There was also another boy Louis Leo or Leo Louis born 1 Feb 1915 who died 27 Feb 1915. I search for my fathers birth family. He was born Kenneth Arthur LaVenture on April 17, 1937 in the district of southern Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was adopted by extended family(supposedly). His adopted parents were Else Shortt<nee Kirkpatrick and Jhon Hudson Shortt of Calgary. There is a strong possibility of Metis connection. Please help if you can, Thank You Andre Patton | ||
