Our thanks to Diane McPherson-Stern of Detroit for a wonderful collection of family photos taken in Ogdensburg. Diane is the
daughter of Anna Montroy McPherson of Ogdensburg. Anna's parents were Fabian Montroy, son of Fabian Antoine Montreuil (Montroy) and grandson of Jean Baptiste Montreuil; and Marie Dupuis, daughter of Joseph Dupuis
and Marie Deschamps (Dishaw) Dupuis.

Bennett H. Vary was born in Onondaga County in 1824 and came to Ogdensburg in 1847 where he read law with Myers & Baldwin and was admitted to practice in 1849. He held various town offices and was
district attorney from 1867-1882. He married Emma A. Witherell, daughter of the late Hon. Thomas D. Witherell of De Peyster in 1853. They moved to Chicago in 1882. (Courtesy of Kathy Vary Becker of Nova Scotia)
